Happy Friday friends! Long time no blog;)
I’m back today to recap our 2nd trip to New York in the last 9 months.
So a little backstory, we booked NYC last summer on a last minute whim in like June for a July trip. We all loved it, but said we probably wouldn’t go back there for a bit because we have a long list of vacations we want to take. Fast forward to October(ish) and Ellie came home super excited because the High School Choir was heading to NYC in March. So, all that to say, we were quick to book the flight.
We dropped her off at the High school at 3 a.m. on a Thursday morning and we headed straight to the airport for a morning flight.

We landed early afternoon, and got unpacked and headed out to explore. And since ice skating at the Rockefeller was still happening, that’s where we ended up…only thing missing was that glorious tree…

Oh NYC…we love you and your coffee…

The girl above lived her best “only child” life in the city. We got to the financial district a bit early, so Avery played a bit at Battery Park. We met up for the 9-11 museum with the choir and went to their competition but for the most part we did our own thing and were just “close” by.
The 9-11 museum and memorial was very quite and so sobering. It immediately took me back to 7th grade homeroom when our teacher was talking about what had happened and then turned on the T.V.

The next day, we got a car to Jersey for the competition. One family picture to prove we were all there:)

We ended the day with a chip city treat…and if you know you know. My crew likes them way more than Crumbl.

Sunday morning, Ellie was on the charter bus home and we pretended to be New Yorkers and went to get Bagels and Bike Central Park.

It was a bit chilly the whole time we were there, but compared to July in NYC we preferred the cold temps this time. Bike riding was probably our favorite thing we did this time.
It was a great, quick whirlwind of a trip.
